Loyd, my gay husband, my beautiful friend. I love you so much. More than I can even express. 
To know you felt that hopeless - that alone - makes me wish I could have spent one more second with you. Maybe it would have changed something. I know that you’d probably slap me for that kind of thinking. “SHUT up.”

I miss your laugh. The last conversation we had, you told me you loved me. With a laugh. We joked about getting married.

Every time a child passed by, “Can we make one?”

I will think of you always.
